In the future, Celebi sees Raikou, Entei, and Suicune fighting. In an attempt to prevent it, Celebi travels through time to the past. Zoroark transforms into the legendary beasts as well as a shadow version of Ash Ketchum. A Tangrowth also appears in the movie as Pikachu's friend. Satoshi (Ash), Takeshi (Brock), and Hikari (Dawn) arrive in Crown City to attend the annual Pokémon Backer World Cup when they encounter the Pokémon Zorua who is looking for its companion.
